This NEW design from rebeccamaryjane’s has all the gorgeousness of a handmade brooch, yet it is made using badge components...so I have decided to call it a “broodge”!
Each broodge measures 58mm across and is completely hand stitched. I use a combination of new, vintage and recycled fabrics, embroidery, crochet, buttons, beads and charms to make each one, which means that each broodge is a one-off piece and cannot be repeated.
This Bluebell Broodge has a white vintage linen base, which I have embellished with a piece of vintage embroidery featuring bluebells, tiny flowers that I have crocheted and finished with glass seed bead centres, a tiny flower that I have embroidered and finished with a vintage mother of pearl button centre, and a silver-plated dragonfly charm.
