Sylvia Woodford
Sylvia Woodford graduated from Forth Valley College in 2005 with degree in design (with distinction). She is particularly interested in textiles as a medium due to the vibrancy of colour that can best be achieved through textiles, especailly wool and silk. She also enjoys the tactile quality of textiles and looks to exploit this in her work.
'Much of my work involves bold use of colour and geometric shapes, often in pattern formation, as I see shapes to be the basic building blocks for all designs, whether in nature or man-made, and feel that basic shapes best exploit the vibrancy of colour. Felt is a particularly good medium for exploiting this'.
Sylvia Woodford has exhibited in Scotland, England and France.
